so that's what that thing is! i saw deathsled's back at SEDD 09. he told me what it was, but i couldn't remember. sucker is BIG. sounds pretty good though. probably the best of the single-shots for the 3/s. i'm just not a fan of single-shot.

i wonder if anyone can source that cannister. i'd love to see a dual-exhaust based on it--excessive overkill or not.

i personally think that all 3s look best with quadtip exhaust except the stealth 2nd gen rear. That just seems to say single to me.

    i disagree...but that's why i'm currently trying to source a fully-muffled 4" cat-back, 4" quad-tip exhaust.

where are you located vtak? i've been trying to get rid of this thing for years, i just cannot find a decent priced quad tip that i want. I had IPS's second gen quad tip on order for over a year before finally giving up and asking for a refund

    i'm located in socal.

yeah.. i've had my fair share of ips gladly accepting my money but taking months especially when they already have everything 'in stock'.

well you can always go custom. thats what a buddy of mine did on his 99VR4.

sorry can't tell if this is a good video of his car or not. currently out of the country and its blocked in the country im in..

geez...socal...i'd almost think australia is closer im to the point where i dont even care if it's a stock quad tip, i just want the can gone...just not my taste at all. but anyways, i may have one (stock exhaust) lined up, but it will be a couple weekends before i can make the trip to go pick it up, if it's even still around at that time. if you're in no hurry, i'll keep you updated when i finally get rid of the thing.

yeah...i ordered the $1,000 exhaust, engine bay dress up chrome stuff, and blue plug wires. i had to go with a different brand of wires because they realized a week after i ordered it that they didn't have the ones i wanted in and shipped me some different ones. the exhaust was in limbo for over a year before i finally called and told them to just refund my money. apparently when they closed the order, they realized the plugs i received were something like $15 more than what the ones i originally ordered cost. they had the audacity (in my opinion) to ask for the difference to settle the bill.

I raged with the fury of a thousand suns, then calmed down and explained that 1) they didn't have the ones i wanted in and were not going to get them anytime soon; to me, customer satisfaction, at least in retail, dictates that you substitute something of equal or greater value. and 2) I explained that I was pretty certain that the interest they probably earned on MY thousand dollars was more than sufficient to make the difference up. I didn't hear anything back after that and won't be doing business with IPS again. kinda sad since they used to care about the platform so much.

i have the distinct feeling that IPS cares only about the SBC club now. they already dropped their sponsorship on 3sgto. as soon as i get this order with them closed out--that'll probably be the last time i do business with them. christ, it's been so long i can't even remember everything i ordered....

I bought a few back in the day off supraforums. If you post over there I'm sure you can find decent used ones, I was getting them for $100-$200 each

yeah.. just keep me updated on it. i'm still currently out of the country and my motor is blown so no pressure.

i think the one and only time i was happy with IPS was the very first time i ordered from them. i got their 550cc/walbro/AFC Neo kit within a week after calling in and making my order. it sucked that the Neo wasn't properly working on the Karmon at the time but not their fault..

i think the smallest amount IPS was screwing with me was in the $1k range. i've been in the $3k+ range with them waiting over 5-6 monhs on parts they supposedly had in stock and ready to ship. i think the actual last like 8-10k I spent with them ended up with a rediculous wait time and me not getting exactly what i paid for/wanted..
