#3 - ron artest should have been banned from the NBA for life. period. the only irony is that it's the freaking lakers who hired his sorry ass.
#4 - took place between a small group of people in small confines. not a big deal. boxing sucks anyways. it's not like NYC was destroyed.
#5 - detroit. right up there with DC and LA for places i don't want to live. give the city to canada, it'll fit right in up there.
#6 - montreal again. at least back then, league officials had the balls to actually crack-down on this shit.
#7 - boston. really? sadly, yes. this one i have to concede as unfortunate. i don't recall massive fire-setting & looting though.
#8 - philly. unfortunate. still nothing compared to 100+ people getting trampled in a soccer stampede.
#9 - denver. i'm at a loss for words on this one.
#10 - montreal. ok, seriously, 3 different riots? canadians are batshit insane.
We can all at least understand being upset if your team loses, but looting/burning your home town because your team WON?!

it's city dependant. if the royals win the world-series, or the chiefs win the super bowl; $50 says they won't riot. celebrate? sure. but not riots.

canada is just crazy. i'm fairly certain that if canada lost to the USA in both curling AND hockey during the same olympics; the nation would probably implode in rage.

The really sad thing is that today at work I was talking to a friend about the playoffs. I said "I bet there was rioting in Vancouver".

    Is it really that predictable?

with regards to canada? yes. certifiably, batshit, insane. not sure if the blue-jays have ever prompted rioting; but the canadians and the canucks sure have.

Okay fact time: Vancouver had a riot in 1994 over this, so what did the cops do this time? Well, they boxed a whole bunch of people into "public viewing areas" and served copious amounts of alcohol, then instead of getting people out of there, they boxed everything up and tried to arrest them all.

Oh and now they're trying to say it was left-wing anarchists/extremists that used the game to rile people up...sort of a second wave of those 'black bloc' guys that trashed police cars during the G20 in Toronto...as if hundreds of drunk people + tight space, doesn't quite explain it.

Canucks riot when they lose, Montreal riots when they win, must be an east/west thing lol.

Also, I'm surprised they're making that big of a deal of it, considering soccer fans are notorious for their riots...which have seen cops killed, etc., let alone the riots spreading across Europe right now.

"This is a ridiculous cause and effect suggestion."
"Yeah, kind of like the sun rising and then morning happening, eh? What are they trying to pull on us?"

"If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart into a microphone."

"It's easy. Take the last f*ck, and let it go, and thus you shall have no more f*cks to give."

well seeing as vancouver has not yet won ANYTHING...i'm guessing that they'd probably still riot if they won. your country is still crazy.

you know how they arrived at the name of the country? pulling letters out of a hat:

    "C" eh?
    "N" eh?
    "D" eh?

I would like to light these guys on fire. Two women try to defend their car as people destroy it. Pieces of shit!
