    NG11 Late Registration Open!!

So many of you seemed to have missed the deadline and indicated that you still plan to attend NG11, that we've decided to open up registration for just a few days. Keep in mind that the rates are the same as on-site registration, it'll just make our lives (and yours) A LOT easier on-site. Since we've gotten all the printed materials done and ready to go and the car is almost packed up, we figured this would help everyone. You'll spend less time waiting in line for your materials, we won't have the pressure of doing everything on-site, and all will be happier. There's still a lot of extra time involved, though, so on-site registration fees do apply.

The late registration is open ONLY for NEW REGISTRATIONS. You CANNOT modify an existing registration. While the system will allow it, you'll create all sorts of issues and cost yourself lots of additional money that you shouldn't be charged. So please... Keep it easy and use this only for new registrations. Modifications and race event additions can still be done on-site relatively easily.

See you in a week at NG11!!!

P.S. The late registration system will close on Friday, June 17th, at 5pm EDT.

i totally almost rushed into finishing just because i'm already late.

you say to start up a new registration to keep the fees down, but whenever i log in, it remembers my old registration info.

says the total is 205 for me and my red headed guest. i'm guessing that's correct.

what if my guest backs out? can i just bring a different person?

*let me know before the fees just start hopping.

thank you thank you thank you thank you! thank you.

I don't really understand why it cost more but I paid anyway.

Glad I'm in, but with the jump in cost it blew my budget for the event I wanted to enter.

Shmoo, those fees are correct. You're technically a new registration because you haven't already paid. In 0other words, you're good to go ahead and finish your current registration. I just meant that people can't add race events online and stuff like that. But they CAN do that on-site. That stuff is a little easier than registration materials.

Gearhead, let me explain. For registration, we have to wait until it closes to print everyone's materials. And there's A LOT of prep that goes into this. We can do it with huge mail merges and things like that. For late registrants, that all has to be done separately, which means what normally takes about 30 minutes per person will now take me at least an hour, plus printing time. Not to mention that it's all very last-minute, which means I have to stay up incredibly late to do it because it's too late to change my schedule at work to accomodate the additional workload. It also means that we may need to run to the store to purchase additional materials, add to the t-shirt order, and stuff like that. I'm not sure you've been to an NG, which means you really don't know what goes into this, but let's just say that I really don't leave stones unturned. There is WAY more work than people realize. Also, whereas we could do nametags at 6 per sheet, we may have to do an entire sheet for 2 people because of the timing of it all. That means the materials cost just went up, too. Hopefully that clarifies a little.

I paid in full back in April and received a confirmation email in April. However, the NG site now says I owe $70, is this just a glitch? I have made no changes - should I disregard it?

This would we why lori said "ONLY for NEW REGISTRATIONS. You CANNOT modify an existing registration. While the system will allow it, you'll create all sorts of issues". Just looking caused the problem. You are fine just ignore it.
