Lately I've been throwing around the idea of ditching my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport that I use both as a DD and as my way of eating enough oil to eventually push us towards alternative energy sources.

Naturally, I figured that since I'm now 30 years old I should get a motorcycle, a la early midlife crisis and all that. While out looking at a few dealerships I came across a used bike that fit well under my price limit and decided to get it.


With my wife's permission of course.

Without further delay, my 2003 Honda Shadow 750

Welcome to the two wheel club. Not a fan of cruiser type bikes, but I've ridden the 750 Shadow, and it's got enough torque and a good sound to be fun for a weekend cruise. Enjoy it.

The bike fits you Jeff. I really need to look into a bike myself. I drive 25 miles one way for work. Mornings would be colder, but the fuel savings would be worth it.

Yeah man, look into it. I paid $3968 out the door and the damn thing gets near 50MPG. I think I came out good on this one and it's a great starter bike.
