    OEM Radio Security Codes

I was wondering Is this something I have to worry about with removing my radio temporarily?

94 R/T TT if that makes a difference.

    Thanks for your help.

this would be the first that i've heard that stealth and 3k radios were different. afaik, call a dealership with the code on your radio & they can give you the code to unlock it. it's not even that difficult.

What do you mean there are no codes on infinity after 01? Do you mean 2001? Because if you do, that is completely irrelevant.

agreed. i'm still incredulous that stealths didn't have radio codes though. i want to see proof.

    p.s.
radio codes should have gone out of style 20 years ago. aftermarket radios have been superior for at least that long.

understandable. i just don't know why security codes didn't die with the 8-track. hell, by the time CD players hit the aftermarket radio market...that should have been the END of radio codes. period.

They do have a different part number. I still have my 95 radio in storage and a new one. I don't think the dodge version had a second antenna. Haven't looked at it in at least 5 years though.

The old version of caps had the dodge part numbers by vin number all except the 95 tt's
