JDM with the amber corners isn't something most, if any police will pick up on anyway. I ran my GTO tails with the amber corners since I put them on the car in 04 and never once had anyhting said to me by any of the various police that stopped me.

that's because amber tails isn't illegal. in fact, most cars in the 90's had them (some in the 80's too). early 4g camaros had them. so did my 88 escort.

Doesn't the law say the only light emitting from the rear of a vehicle constantly have to be red?

Ambers are illegal in the rear if they are lit at all times. Amber is only legal in the rear if it is a turn signal only.

This is what I was talking about, that is how mine are. If you use the JDM tails with the USDM harnesses, the ambers will stay lit.

Funny I have no issue with the USDM tails...

pretty sure it's illegal to have red turns in Aus... just going to get bright yellow bulbs lol

That's how mine are too. I was replying to IPD but you posted your picture in between posts. Amber on at all times in the rear is most definitely illegal. Running lights in the rear are supposed to be red. The only running lights that are legally allowed to be amber are on the front.
