Thanks! I spent so much time cleaning off gasket surfaces I figured I should spend a little extra and make it look prettier. There are a few things I wish I would have painted that are bothering me now, even though they are covered with the timing covers.

I want to chrome my transmission housing too. How tough is it to dissassemble?

Mine is not chrome. Just sprayed it with some silver engine paint after cleaning it up. Looks decent in person and should look good in engine bay. My intake setup is minimal so the trans shows.

Funny how it can set in the back of the garage for years but now that I'm finally working on it again, I can't stand the wait to get it back where I can wrench on it again!! Setting at the paint shop now.

Not sure why, but I always think a 3S looks badass stripped down. No idea why though. Maybe makes the rear look more widebody?
