That's a ridiculous basketball conference that will have down periods in football, but between WVU, Texas, OU, and OSU, there should always be a team competing for an MNC. (look at me over looking TCU, Tech, K-State)

I have come to enjoy the balanced schedules of a 10 team conference though.

WVU's record against the Big 12:

Kansas 1-0
Kansas St. 1-1
Oklahoma 2-2
Oklahoma St. 2-1
Texas 1-0
Texas Tech 1-0
TCU 1-0

We played Mizzou 5 times, and went 2-3 overall.

I have mixed feelings on UGA vs UF. I hate UF and I want to win. But wining means Richt keeps his job and the ability off this man to get top national talent to under perform is nothing short of amazing. getting blown out and getting rolled by anyone that is even ranked has to stop.

Big 12 Move Hits Snag - West Virginia Headline News and Talk Radio

WVU’s move to the Big 12 has hit a snag.

As of late yesterday afternoon, WVU had received a verbal invitation to the Big 12 and had accepted. Plans were in the works for a news conference Wednesday to make the announcement.

But sources say the process hit a “bump in the road” last night. WVU was apparently notified by the Big 12 that it needed “more information” from WVU and that there would be a vote by the Big 12 Board, perhaps on Monday.

There is speculation that the “bump” was a push by Louisville.

The Dominion Post’s Drew Rubenstein reports that there was a “late push” by the University of Louisville to be considered instead of WVU.

“Sources used terms like ‘volatile’ and ‘internal battle’ to describe the conference realignment with the Big 12,” Rubenstein reported.

Last night, WVU called off preliminary plans for a press conference today.

“Contrary to media reports, there is no press conference scheduled for Wednesday concerning WVU’s athletic conference affiliation. There are no further comments at that time,” the statement said.

Doesn't sound like a dealbreaker to me, but we're in a holding pattern for the moment. I've no problem bringing in Louisville(as I've posted before, I really believe in that program), but not over WVU.

Frankly, it makes more sense to bring in Louisville with WVU. It would be great if Mizzou would see this development and change their minds...
