Or I could be on crack.......
15PSI 17PSI 20PSI, doesn't make a whole lot of difference, the 9bs are still maxed out in the upper revs, so if you want to run more boost in the bottom of the rev range it isn't going to hurt anything if you are logging and have no knock. No matter what you run they are still going to drop off to 11 or 12 PSI like everyone else's and be no worse off.

This gives me a lot of hope.

I'm currently running 23psi on a stock fuel system, besides a hotwire and AFPR. Of course, I do have the MAFT that I'm trying to work out some bugs with. I was thinking about lowering the boost just a tad, but if you calculate the drivetrain loss of the VR4, those numbers would mean that at the crank it's around 400-420HP, which with minimal upgrades that's a really good 100 horsepower added.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.

So you are saying that our drive train eats about 50% of the HP?

no, but 25-30% is fair. if you multiply 309 by 1.25 you get 400-420CHP, so he's right.

    No, lol. 25% of 420 is roughly 315. 50% would be 210.

I monitor my car, trust me I wouldn't do it blindly.

I'm basically seeing what I can do with the car with minimal upgrades. Zero knock here. Just trying to tune it out.

What would it take to make this kind of power on 10:1 compression without harming the engine? 361fwhp would be plenty for me.

meth. very, very few people are running > 300whp on a 10:1 on pure pump gas.

More than plenty. The challenge with a powerful FWD is getting it to hook up, given that the physics of weight transfer (especially in the lower gears) are working against you.

Not to mention that if you have an open diff, the problem is further compounded by wheelspin acting as a "power fuse".

There's a reason why powerful FWDs (Integra Type R, SRT-4) came standard with LSDs.
