perhaps not, but you can always see if you can get a group of MI 3/s'ers together and fly someone like ray to XPA for a tuning day.

Yeah I gotta read through his thread again. But I was more refering to what max psi can be run with them. I figure at some point they will be so hot that they are going nothing but push hot air which doesn't help anything.
Or I could be on crack.......

i'm 99% certain that heat isn't the limitation; it's CFM. 9b's just cannot push enough air to get you to sufficient power beyond a certain point. if heat IS an issue, you need a better intercooler. a glowing turbo doesn't necessarily mean something's wrong.

Amazing what these cars do after all those years and nearly pushing 200k.

Still, I tinker too much to leave a little 9b in a car. Turbo upgrades and power are so easy these days on td04.

Wait, Did I just read this correctly? Did you say rays dyno sheet is 50hp over stock?

well it's not ray's car, but yes...that dyno sheet is just over 50whp improvement above stock (~235-255awhp). when the torque numbers dwarf the hp numbers, the car is choking because the turbos are gassed. we saw the same thing on matt m's dr750's with the 3.5L.

this car only made 199whp stock hahaa. this is good for a cheap way to get some quick power for you guys with 9Bs. i still think its silly to leave 9Bs and do other large mods like AEM, frontmount engine work etc.

Austin did great with his 9Bs BUT imagine if he had 15Gs! his car was on E85, aem, custom manifold, front mount etc etc he could have had well over 500awhp and went deep into low 10s with how light the car was. the 9Bs are way too small.. but you can get this power here with minimal mods... after that, put some turbos in there.

my red car makes 530awhp with 650s, fuel, afc, boost control, GM maf.. imagine that car under 3000LBS!

199whp stock? Wow, that's awful, lol. Man, I bet the owner has a permagrin now!

Good reminder of how much you can get out of an emission compliant 3/S with a solid tune and the right parts. Thanks Ray, you the man, brotha!

Yeah most stock 3sTT's I've seen put down barely over 200 (Especially the higher mile ones). It's a hell of a gain off of those mods anyway.
