Emanage Ultimate Problem

I was coming back from a 6 hour trip and I was just about 30 mins from home would I lost all engine power.

I pulled over to the shoulder and popped the hood to look for boost leaks. Nothing obvious.

I tried started it again and it ran rough as hell and died, so I switched my tune back to a MAP based tune. It started then but didn't want to run, so I fed it a bunch of gas to hold it at 4K for about 30 seconds.

It seemed to clear itself out and drove the rest of the way home.

When I initially connected to the emanage with my laptop it showed 3 error codes:

Incorrect 1CH ignition input signal
Incorrect 2CH ignition input signal
Incorrect 3CH ignition input signal


Did my emanage wig out randomly? It's been running fine for months. I'm going to pull it out tonight and check over the board for loose chips. I'm not really happy about this, anyone seen this before?

I get those errors all the time, but nothing ever acts different. It all runs just fine. I read once that a weak coil pack may cause that.

thanks man, not sure what's going on then. I had a lot of the intercooler piping out and couldn't find any major leaks, but I'll put it back together and see what happens.

Sorry I can't give you a better idea than my fuzzy memory, but IIRC it was a common problem. I never heard of something like what you're having though.

Well I wanted to check the compression on at least the front 3 to make sure I didn't have some type of mechanical problem. It turned out just as perfect as it always have:

Cylinder 1 3 5
PSI 160 155 155

Cylinder 3 has actually improved a little. It has historically read 150. I think the long drive did the rings some good.
