Speedometer jumps and stops

My Speedometer will just start jumping and then quit when I am driving down the highway. I can switch on the Cruise Control and it will start working agian

Anyone ever had a simular problem?

Bad connection? Ether at the instrument cluster or the transmission is my guess.

It could also be shorting out anywhere along the wire. Have you tapped any wires into the speedometer wire? (some turbo timers, EMUs, etc)

Got a similar issue but not that bad on cold days my speedometer sways back and forth 10mph so ill be doing 40 and it swing between 30 to 50 back and forth on the cluster but after driving for 10 min it fixes it self out I belive it's the connection to the trans
