I've been a tornado geek since I was a kid, and I'm seeing things these days I just haven't seen before.

Some of the footage of the Tuscaloosa tornado showed so many suction vortices it looked like a hula-dancer's skirt.

This morning we see them hitting in Massachusetts?

    Crazy days...

There's been 4 or 5 tornadoes around here this year (nothing strong enough to do much more than blow a couple roofs off) where it's rare to have 1. Crazy year for sure.

It was a F5... 1 mile wide and traveled for 6 miles... My family and some friends hope to be going down there next week to help feed and cloth some of those in the area.. My cousin lived right out side of joplin.. He said that when he got into town his wife started to cry...

i saw some of the carnage in northern oklahoma city, nowhere near as bad as joplin but still makes your spine shiver. i saw full size pickup trucks picked up and thrown into the trees mangled up into metal balls.

Yeah, F5. It's crazy because an F5 used to rarely. How many have there been this year? I think this is the third I've heard of.
