Electrical Problems

So, I went to start the car to get to work this afternoon, and noticed a neat new problem. When the car starts up, the battery and check engine light stay up, but flicker. Then the CEL goes away and the battery dims, but doesnt totally disappear like it should. So long as the rpm's are up around 2-3k or high the battery light stays out completely, but as soon as I come to a stop, the light comes back to a dull dim that you can just barely see. While at the higher rpm's my radio also functions correctly, and when I dip back down to 1k, it starts to drop for split seconds at a time. Any ideas what is causing this?

I smelled a smell earlier this morning on my way back to base, one that I've never smelled before. Smelled almost like an electrical fire, but there are no signs of fire anywhere. D: Before I smelled that smell, there were no issues what-so-ever. I would assume the two are related... but knowing my car, and my luck, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't.

Car is all stock, 95 VR4.

Check your alternator fuse. It sounds like a bad alternator though.

Thanks for the tip. I checked the fuses and all looked good, so I have set my sites on a new alternator. Hopefully, it will get here within a week or so. D:
