    uh oh...something went boom

ok, so last night i took off the short throw and went back to stock to hope the miss shifting issues from the track would be fixed. pulled my preintake pipes to check the turbos, everything seems ok. take her for a test drive, shifts soooo smooth like butter now. i heard a small pop, like intercooler pipe, checked it all and everything was good.... Im like awesome! Connected to my AEM PRO and was tweaking some settings trying different things, then went to my mother in laws to help move a desk. on the way to her house i see nothing but smoke from behind my car and hear a tin like rattle...I pull over look under the car, no oil pouring out anywhere, start her and luckily its mostly down hill to my house so i get it to the garage. Sounds like its coming from the front valve cover so im hoping like maybe a valve spring or rocker broke...nothing, all good. this morning pulled the plenum and rear valve cover...all good? so im going to do a compression test to see if a ring busted. if it did guess im fucked. ugh its not a spun bearing, ive had one before and two different sounds.

I havent checked those since pulling the top end apart. All i did was take them off checked the shaft play adn put them right back on. Nothing should have got in the pipes. sounds like if your exhaust bolts were loose and rattleing. really tin-ish...

did you hand-test the intercooler/intake; or did you do a pressurized leak-test?

ok, i had the other thread, but wanted to put up pics of the findings.

Well last night i checked the compression and all cylinders were good. pretty much the same since the engine was built. THANK GOD!! well, pulled off rear turbo...it was fine...then the front and this is what i found

called up forced performance and brian told me to send it back so he can look at it. he told me to send both incase. seriously, new oil lines, wtf would cause that to snap? it only took me about an hour to take both turbos and dp off. now i just need to ship em out. hope its warrantied. if not guess he'll be shippin em back till i can get some $$ to repair em. bullshit. my car hates turbos

atleast its the turbo and not the engine!!! whew!
