    My kids band (ages 12-15)

My kids band Shock n Awe playing at the bug show last week. I was running sound for them so you can see me popping in and out on the right side of the screen. I'd have to run out front then run back to adjust lol.

My kids are the singer, lead guitar/ vocals and drummer. The bass player is their best friend and the kid singing in the last song is their new guitar player. He didn't play in these songs because he wasn't up to speed on them yet.

One of their friends made this page.

Not bad, man!! Your daughters voice is really mature, got kind of a Grace Slick vibe going...which is damn cool.

Thanks, they really are good. I wish the recording was a bit better but for a cheap vid camera it's not bad at all. The kid that posted the videos recorded them also. I'm going to run a line from the soundboard with some ambient mics next time they do something like this.

I think I like the 2nd song on there the best.

That was my favorite song, too, and where I caught the Grace Slick sound. I'm thinking she could kill White Rabbit.

Yeah, she got to show off a bit of her range in the 2nd one. I'm not sure that's the technical way to describe it, but it sounds like she spends most of her time in a very narrow band of her voice. I'm not saying she needs to maria-carey this shit, just show off a little more

    Thanks for sharing!

I think being nervous she was holding back a bit. Also she is a cheerleader and spends a good bit of time shouting. At this time she really wasn't 100%, probably about 80-85%.

I've been waiting for you to get up some vids of them playing.
That is really cool and at their age they can only keep getting better!
It will be fun watching them evolve.

You and Dawn have really been blessed

That was what I concluded. The confidence will come with time because it sounds like she's got skills.

The guitar and drum play seemed pretty much perfect to my untrained ear.

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.
