    Hot wire vs. RDR rewire

For those who do not know what I am talking about

    Hot wire vs. RDR rewire

Is there sound reason why the RDR rewire approach is better then the hot wire method.

All I am pulling is that with the RDR method the voltage will still have three stages : 1) full power, 2) reduced power, and 3) off.

I understand that the stock system is designed to offer full voltage to the fuel pump at full throttle and reduced voltage all the rest of the throttle use.

My question is it really that big a deal? doesn't the fuel injectors control the amount of fuel to be delivered into the firing chamber?

If that is the case two staged voltage to the fuel pump shouldn't matter...right?

As far as I can tell the only difference is the hotwire will run the pump at full power 100% of the time which would in theory mean the pump won't last as long.

That's about it. The extra wear with the hotwire, which can cause you to overrun a stock FPR if it's not new.

    Noise is another issue.

To be fair I`ve wired the resistors into my hotwire setup (at the relays in the boot) for noise reasons, I thought I had an overrun problem with a hotwired Walbro 255 but it turns out not to be the case..

I run twin pumps now and was mulling over wether to do the 2 stage voltage, 90% of the time I would only need the pumps running in low speed..
