    v8 s10 and SBC guys

Any other v8 S10 guys on here? I just picked up a 91 that I am going to be building up after winter for next years drag season.

Plans are to leave the body the way it is so it looks like a pile. As for drive train it will be receiving a 388 stroker, powerglide, 4 linked ford 9. Gonna strip it, cage it and back half it. Going for around 600-650 all motor HP and shooting for 10s in the quarter mile

You want a real S10 race car, I'll sell you my blazer...

I started building it over ten years ago, life happened, and it got sidelined... Then I got into the 3S. I can't justify all the cash and time to finish it, when I have a Stealth to build.

Maybe one of these days I'll see if a Montero body will fit.... LOL

I was going to run Super Comp with it. (8.90 index) But I was also overbuilding it in case I wanted to step it up in the future. I don't know how fast I could license it to run with current rules, I kinda stopped paying attention to the scene for a few years, but back then, it could have certified to top out the sportsman classes at 7.50

I don't know... I look at it and see a crapload of time invested in designing, bending, and welding that thing out of 300 ft of straight tubing. But then I start looking at what still needs to be done, and what it would take away from projects that currently have my interest, and I'm pretty torn.

If I still had the motor and trans, I think I'd be a little more inclined to finish it, but they got sold years ago when the project got put on hold.

Ya that I am sure a ton of time went into designing and build it to what it is. It would really be shame to not finish it after all of that work.

Was it built or just a stock swap, did you ever run it down the track? How did you like driving it?

just a stock swap with the 4l60e. Engine was a 28k mile out of a 97 T/A. It was fun but never made it to the track.

I am a proud owner of a 90 Silverado. Its pretty much stock engine wise, but it was lowered by Boyd Coddington back in the day and has 17" Centerlines, and a custom interior.

In the future when I have the time and money, and a beater I can use for a DD it will be getting an LT1.
