I've never drank one, but from what I heard was that because it's an energy drink people get too drunk before realizing the effects. Doesn't help that most of the people drinking them are younger crowd who are not always that responsible when they drink anyhow.

It's absolutely insane. They are taking them off the market because they are cheap, essentially. You can buy pure grain alcohol, or more expensive mixes like Jeremy already mentioned. However, they are not in the same price range. Think Jack and Coke will go off the market? No. Younger people can't afford it and thus it will stay. If people are going to make poor choices, that's their fault. They don't have any commercials that target young kids. Unbelievable this is happening. I'd be curious to see under what grounds in court that this holds up.

Thats exactly how I feel. If they ban four loko then the case can easily be made to ban all alcoholic beverages because people can be irresponsible with anything. It's these damn liberals taking away what they don't think we should do! Just like them banning happy meals in san Francisco because its unhealthy. Ridiculous.
