Don't ya hate it when you realize you left something off?

Putting the motor back together and got to the point of bolting on exhaust turbos etc...all going smoothly until I find a couple of brackets and realize where one of them went

To put out back on it looks like pulling the turbo and the mani to get it in there.

Question: is it safe to leave off?

i wouldnt leave it off, the front manifold tends to crack and the bracket takes a bit of load off it

I’ve never had one on my car but if I had one I’d probably put it on. Last time I installed the manifold I thought I noticed a hairline crack in one of the welds.

Don't cut corners. Everyone forgets a step every once in awhile. Take everything back off and install it. You'll thank yourself later.

You don't need to remove all that much to install that. That said, it didn't fit with my aftermarket manifold so I ran without for more than a year.

I've run my car for years without that bracket. I wouldn't do it with a stock exhaust, but if you have an aftermarket catless, that's a lot of weight dropped. So far, no cracks on my car.

Ehh forgetting that is nothing. I once put the engine back in my car only to realize I forgot to install the pistons in the engine. When I compression tested, I got no readings at all.

I did the same thing, forgot that brace. Took it apart and put it back on. There's a reason it's there. Not that big of a deal to do it now.

Went ahead and pulled the turbo and mani and put the sucker in there tonight. Only took about 30 minutes or less, just the idea of having to do it lolol :P
