yesterday, i decided to put in the 3.5 engine in my 1994 3kgt base, i contacted a shop on ebay and they have the engine in stock, so far i think the only mods that i need is to swap my throttle body, and oil pan. i can wait to start on it

You're going to need the other half of that 3G to make this work

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.
I was thinking the same thing. LOL
[06-05, 19:29] OhioSpyderman: Brian, finding a woman is NOT the answer, you need to shop for a good VACUUM
well finally, i installed the engine .
for everybody that is thinking on doing this swap , you must get the engine from a debonair,4 door mitsubishi sedan or a gto, (japanese 3000 gt) some gto had this engine as an upgrade, this is a drop in the engine looks the same to a 3g72, same block but the heads are bigger. for the installation you must exchange your throtle body, and on the oil pan; i had to change the bolt patterns because the bolts were touching the crossmember. but after that it went smooth, sensors are in the same location, as my car its a 1994 3kgt federal spec.
the fuel pump works great, computer it is good , so no modifications on that part. tomo rrow i`ll post some pictures. see ya
There's a lengthy write up on the 6G74 (NOT 3G) swap that pretty much covers most of what you have to do.

I need to correct you on a few points which are incorrect
- ONLY from a debonair.
- This is an upgrade for a 3000GT but they never 'had them' from the factory ever.
- Block is bigger, heads are NOT bigger, they are factory 3A heads, the same as 93-99 NA 3000GT's (confirmed in ASA)
many of these facts are floating around the internet already mate.
Good to see another 6g74'er

wasting my money on a NA since 2009
Are you sure? The pajero has the exact same engine as my Montero and it isn't an easy swap. Many jdm places say they will work in a pajero or Montero, but they certainly aren't from one. It requires a lot of part swapping. If you didn't start with having a 3.5 in your car, the parts are really bard to come by (in the states) to swap a pajero/Montero engine into your 3.0 3s.
Well if you want to get technical you CAN use a pajero block but you still need to find EVERYTHING else that attaches to it. The only thing you can use is the block itself AFAIK. Power steering and alternator brackets mainly, not sure about the lower intake manifold....pretty sire you can use the pajero one.
You cannnnn use it but getting a debonair one is a drop in process, i know cause I've done it. Not one thing needed to be modified, just another engine swap.
