    Never open a hot radiator cap.

    Would have been much funnier to him and his friends if he knocked the hood prop when he pulled the cap and got sandwiched in the engine bay and showered with steam. What a bunch of idiots

    u know what i did this two years ago, my car was overheating so i pulled over let it cool, cap felt cool pulled it off , got sprayed in coolant massive burns to my face anyone on ink will rember this because it was the day of a meet that i still showed up at . i dont have any pictures but it was bad skin instantly peeled off

    It's not so much the heat, it's the pressure blowing the coolant that hurts
    Relieve the pressure slowly, you can open a hot radiator
    Regardless, one's foolish to do it without a glove, or rag

    i've done that before on a hot engine... it's fine if you run the coolant system bone dry first.
