    Seat Belts problems/dangers? PLEASE READ

I have someone interested at my car. He wants to buy but "parents" tell him that they are hesitating the procedure because of a few problems. Apparently one is the transfer case (fwd model..), and the other is a seat belt issue. Now is there ANYTHING involving seat belt that is unsafe? I have never heard of one.

Please answer quickly, the transaction is trying to take place tomorrow.

The only issue I know of with the seatbelts is not retracting quickly when you go to get out. Pretty easy to fix too.

LOL! The parents are doing their homework, reading through the recalls.
We all know about the transfer case, it doesn't apply to FWD but still might show up on Edmund's or something under recalls.
There's also a years old recall on the seat belt buckles. It affected a LOT of cars, not just ours.
You should be able to stop by any dealer and have them run your VIN to see if there's any outstanding recalls and show the parents the print-out.

Apparently they haven't found the one for the brake hoses yet... That would have caused an embolism

If I remember correctly the plastic release button cracks and can keep the buckle from engaging completely.

Roll the entire belt out and to the end than wipe some Armor All on both sides of the belt about 6" from the end. Feed the belt in & out several times.

    That usually works for me.
