Thanks, I used to be able to read codes on it so maybe updating it to the newest version caused the error?

The 94 and beyond are susceptible to noise on the MUT cable. This noise triggers a reboot. To rid of this problem once and for all, you should completely clip off this yellow capacitor as shown in this diagram. It's only purpose was to automatically reset the boost controller as a convenience when reprogramming. You can still reprogram the boost controller with it removed, so don' worry about it's absence. I've completely removed it from the newer design.

Which software version are you using? We're currently at v1.7, and v1.8 is in testing.

I made the assumption that MUT was standard throughout 94-99 cars and I made some changes to it when someone asked. Apparently that caused problems that I'm investigating.

I re-examined the OBD1 (91-93) CEL request routine and I find no errors. I wonder how the dealer was able to tell you it was the front O2 sensor because the Mitsu CEL error chart is very generic "Oxygen failure", and it doesn't tell you if it is the front or rear or heater circuit. Did you try both "Active" and "Stored" tests?

Yeah I tried both active and stored and neither showed anything. I don't know how they were able to tell it was a front o2 sensor unless he actually looked at it and saw it clipped. I've always seen it as just 02 sensor as well.

Updates can be downloaded from "www.lcdboostcontroller.com". It's a "simple" website I made that gives us an easy way to download updates from now on. Thanks goes to tabasco122 for making this possible.

I finally got a CEL on my 99 3000GT ECU so I could test it. I learned that the MUT communication mode is unable to read CEL codes and I had to go to OBD2 communication mode to read it. Now that I know this is the case, I'll make the necessary software changes.

I was running version 1.6 - not sure if that matters or not. I'll be upgrading to 1.8 this week.

EDIT: BlackStealth, I'd be interested in it displaying misc things instead of/in addition to the "dummy" lights.
