I learned a bit more on the rear fuel trims:
94/95 ECU request codes differ from 98/99 ECU request codes. Gatecrasher was kind enough to send me a private message with the 98/99 request codes, I'll test them out just as soon as it stops raining outside.
My LCD boost controller can read the "ecu id" during a MUT initialization and automatically send the correct request ID because it knows the year of the car. Now I just need a short list of corresponding "ecu id" to year model of the car to make this happen.

I have access to the 99 3000GT VR4 and 94 RT/TT "ecu id", I just need to find out a few more, such as the 95,96,97,98 ECU id. Evoscan spits out this information when it connects.
