We're probably going to pull my blackbox and try it out on his car as we know it is working flawlessly in my '99. It logs at 100+ within EvoScan and its never had to be calibrated. Hopefully, this will help shed some light as to why this is all happening. Any other suggestions? Cause we have already looked at his ground wires, connections, etc. with no resolution.
Logging speed is dependent on year model of ECU. 98/99 ECU are twice as fast than 94/95 ECU. 96/97 ECU are even worse.

Next, if serial data is corrupted, it is quite possible the ECU is not responding to all requests, and that will impact datalog speed too.

I'm curious to see if swapping your blackbox will make any changes.
