Hopefully their is enough slant to the piece and the way I have it in there to be visible. I got two spares of the top of the steering wheel column from 3000gt & Stealth Supply to work with so I don't have to mess up the car while playing.

So you are gonna try and look at it over your steering wheel? or are you trying to reflect it off your instrument cluster clear plastic piece?

Look at it over the steering wheel. After some time staring at the column while stuck for traffic this morning I don't think its got the angle its needs to work. I think the top edge of the display needs to be above the current top of the steering column cover.

I think its time to go back to plan A.

I forgot what you told me before but why did you not want to put it in the cluster? I'm mounting one for somebody else. For a small fee I can probably do yours also.

I have illuminated gauge faces. No clue what cutting a hole in them would do. Not a risk I want to take.

I saw somebody cut a hole in the top of the black trim around the cluster and suspended their SM3 from there. Maybe that would work for you? Straight on view, somewhat hidden, no cutting the cluster...

Ah I remember now, you need something like this but small enough to sit on the steering column cover. (the one on the right)

The bottom drivers side vent looks like that kinda but smaller. It may be the right size if you remove the vent in it.
