    MUT 2 00000
    Then
    Failed to connect

My screen is receiving NO information.

Nothing from boost, nothing from the ECU.

I have checked all of my connections with no go.

    Did I miss something?

    Do I have a bad OBD2 cable??

I've seen that once or twice when my car sits for 4 or 5 days then takes a few cranks to start. It seems to be tied to the unit powering on when the key gets to ACC and getting "stuck" in the init loop when the car starts too slowly (going from ACC to IGN causes the unit and/or ECU to re-initialize). It's only happened once or twice and I daily drive the car for the last year, so it's not been much of an issue.

OBD2 simulator: Ordered an oscilloscope from china, probably going to take a month to arrive. Also found some OBD2 circuit documentation from the ECU side, now I know how much impedance it's expecting. With that new info, I got further ahead, but it's still not communicating correctly all the time. I need to spend more time on it. I've captured all the important OBD2 serial communication between an ECU and OBD2 tester, decoded all the OBD2 frames, so some progress.

Also the www.lcdboostcontroller.com website is not functioning, I don't know what's wrong with it. The website is not mine, a forum user on here was kinda enough to give me a free website to host software updates and user manuals. I'm waiting for a reply from the forum user.

Christmas wiped me out but as soon as I recover the AEM version is on list. Will the obd2 simulation come with it? Also would this work with any dsm's or evo's?

I can't make any promises on the OBD2 simulation but I'm working on it. The hardware is the same for all applications, it is as simple as flashing new software on it. So far I have accomplished: Mitsubishi OBD1, MUT, MUT over OBD2 for 3S/DSM/EVO vehicles, AEM EMS telemetry version, Nissan Consult for 1989-2000 Nissan cars, and MegaSquirt version 1. What's coming next is MegaSquirt version 2, OBD2 simulation, Vipec version, and finally regular OBD2. When switching to different cars, sometimes all that is needed is a new interface cable.

Any recommendations for cables from the OBDI port to the unit? My ethernet to DB9 actually melted slightly in the sun last summer and now it's getting really annoying having the connection go in and out.

I now produce custom OBD1 cables that only work for this lcd boostcontroller device. It has a real Mitsu OBD1 plug and keeps the ABS light from turning on. If you want to use this custom cable outside of the lcd boostcontroller you'll have to short two pins, as the lcd boostcontroller does this internally (that's where the magic of not having ABS light come on... ). Send me a private message.

HEy with the new chromed ECu stuff out can you read boost out of the ECU? THe chromed ecu lets you install a Evo X 3 bar map installed in the car with the software changed greg made. Also is this Chromed Ecu compatible?

I could support reading the Evo X 3bar map sensor from the ECU, but this will hurt ECU datalogging speed. Whenever you add another item to datalog, it impacts the overall sampling speed for all. For example, if you were communicating to the ECU for Knock and RPM data, and then add in "Read Evo X boost" it would reduce the sampling speed by 33% for Knock and RPM.

A nice bonus to anyone datalogging through the lcdboostcontroller device is that both Boost and WBO2 datalogging do not impact on ECU datalogging speed at all, thus you get faster sampling speed for ECU parameters.

    Chrome will still work.
