Also, a couple observations....while running EvoScan and watching the LCD, I noticed that IAT (Intake Air Temp) and Coolant Temp were not agreeing.

The EvoScan reading for Coolant temp is almost exactly 9* higher than what the LCD shows.
The EvoScan reading for IAT is almost exactly 3* lower than what the LCD shows.

When I have more time, I'll compare more data points, but thought to throw this out there to see if anyone else is seeing simliar.

I don't use the same request codes as Evoscan does for intake and coolant temperatures, the codes I use is what works for 1st generation ECUs and carried that over. The Evoscan temperature codes definitely doesn't work for 1st gen, and I think it also includes 94/95 cars too. So the question now is for 98/99 ECU, which method should we use?

As for 2-byte special datalogging, I have to first learn on how it works. Does it first transmit two byte request codes, and then expect two bytes as reply, or does it send a request, receive reply, send second request and receive reply? As well I need to know how much delay is expected during transmission.

There are a few things that don't exactly jive with the 3S in evoscan... I remember Gatecrasher built or helped built a 3S specific XML that was floating around for a while, but I haven't come across a copy of it yet, and I haven't really been trying hard enough to start PMing people about it...

Is the installation manual version 1 the same for version 2? I'm sure pretty much everything is the same but I noticed there was an extra plug in the new one when I was changing it out in the box.

Pretty much everything that's in version 1 is 100% correct for version 2. Keep in mind, version 2 is just an improved version of the previous. I will in the future make a separate manual with new pictures, it's just that my desktop computer is broken (software wise) at the moment and needs to be freshly formatted again. So many things to do.

The extra 3pin connector allows you to plug in an external pressure sensor, such as a 4 bar Greddy pressure sensor, or 3 bar GM pressure sensor.

Technically, I can read both the internal pressure sensor and external pressure sensor simultaneously but I don't know what good that would do, lol.

I honestly wouldn't know from looking at the code... We'll just have to try it and see if it does the trick. Is that your link? You have any info on the file?
