Thread: My LCD screen project, boost, WBO2, Knock, etc

The boost solenoid is rated for 120psi max, so the solenoid can take whatever you throw at it. It's very similar to the greddy profec-B spec II solenoid, so whatever it can do, this can do.

As for pressure sensor, you can use an external greddy 4 bar pressure sensor instead of the built in pressure sensor, however the cost is around $100 more.

Any idea how high the sensor is rated/accuracy?

Gonna start to look for a button that will fit within the un-used lower-left button on the Dash bezel. Any suggestions?

Planning on using it for the "Aux Input" option.

The greddy 4 bar is 1 bar vacuum and 3 bar boost. About 1.5 years ago I took an air compressor and hooked up both the greddy pressure sensor and my internal pressure sensor to my device and compared both in real time as the air compressor slowly built up pressure. Both were very close to each other, I think they were about 0.1-0.2 psi apart from each other. Keep in mind, electrical noise (antenna effect from long wires) could easily explain the difference, or if the greddy included atmosphere pressure too. The good thing was it was consistent throughout the pressure ranges.

I was hoping to be the first to think of using the old popup headlight button for the rotary dial. Oh well. It took me two weekends to do this install because I ordered an extra set of switches from a 93 3S. I also used the ECS button for my AUX push for boost button. I love this button setup. I plan to change the covers of the two buttons to something different. The old popup headlight actually fits snuggly over the little knobs with very little modification.

Looks like I've solved the datalogging software bug. It works correctly with my ECU simulator, now I'll go test it out on the real ECU tonight as the temperatures outside are too hot at the moment.

Thank God datalogging is working! It was very frustrating to get it to work correctly.

Success! I can now datalog my device using HHH in high speed mode (57.6K), and also datalog two new custom parameters WBO2 and Boost simultaneously. This finally solves the age old problem of not being able to log both. As you may have noticed, I'm using the OBD1 version of HHH for my 99 ECU

    Configuration screens for HHH:

    Enable 57.6K mode.

Create two new datalog parameters (Boost and WBO2).

Select the newly created Boost and WB02 parameters for datalogging.

    Is HHH a free download?
