My LCD screen project, boost, WBO2, Knock, etc

I am not very electronically inclined ATM, but would it be possible to have the dummy lights tied into this. For example, if the door is open, it will have a "Door Ajar" notification displayed. Same thing with "Brake", "Low Wiper Fluid", etc.

Yes I could do that, but I'm not sure how many people would want that, as there would be a lot of wire splicing involved.

Try it with the key on, and engine off. I got random code reads while the car was running, and it wouldn't clear the codes. With the key on and car off, it read the code fine, then cleared it, and it stayed off. Mine's a 95, but it's worth a shot....

I tried it with the key on, and engine off. I got nothing. I tried it running and got nothing. But it would always clear the code and turn off the CEL. It is an emisson code that keeps coming up. I should try my ECUflash code reader on it to see what it reads.

Here's extra info on the boost solenoid harness: The red and black color wires do not have any meaning. You'll have to use a meter to determine which color wire is 12 volts, so don't make any assumptions. One wire provides a constant 12volts, and the other wire pulses ground when the solenoid is active. What you're doing can be done, just be careful and don't make any mistakes. Also the "stock boost solenoid wire" is wired to the ECU, cut this wire please. You have to make sure you're not sharing the "stock boost solenoid wire" with anything else other than my boost controller.

I planned on cutting the wire to the ECU. FYI my manual says its pin 41 on the middle plug. Thanks for the info on the solenoid plug.

Maybe once I get my project off the ground, it will be wanted more, maybe not.

I am connecting my "push for boost" button with the old sport gauge light that is used for the ECS. Since my car is a 99 it never had ECS so I am putting a bulb in the open spot and attaching it to my button. So when the button is latched it will light up sport on the gauge. when it is off it will go black.

I learned a bit more on the rear fuel trims:
94/95 ECU request codes differ from 98/99 ECU request codes. Gatecrasher was kind enough to send me a private message with the 98/99 request codes, I'll test them out just as soon as it stops raining outside.
My LCD boost controller can read the "ecu id" during a MUT initialization and automatically send the correct request ID because it knows the year of the car. Now I just need a short list of corresponding "ecu id" to year model of the car to make this happen.

I have access to the 99 3000GT VR4 and 94 RT/TT "ecu id", I just need to find out a few more, such as the 95,96,97,98 ECU id. Evoscan spits out this information when it connects.

Hells yea! Were you able to read your trouble codes on your ECU?

I just tested the new codes for the rear trims and it seems to be giving good numbers (very similar to front trims). When I took a longer trip the other day I received my first CEL as expected, as my 3rd and 4th O2 sensors are not available on my car. When I scanned for the CEL I got nothing, although that doesn't really surprise me because it can only report 16 types of errors (using the older Mitsu error code list). I think I may have to connect in OBD2 mode to view error codes. I tried using evoscan and it said nothing. My CEL isn't even lit up anymore. I'll try again when it lights up.

And what are your duty cycle settings and boost creep settings set at?

What if you go to autozone or somewhere and get free scan from them? Does anything come up?
