Not yet Chief, I will endeavour to do something over the weekend.. After I've collected yet another GTO . My car is a plaything that can sit outside for weeks on end between beatings, she only ever comes out for a good old tear up .

So I thought I would post this up since I finally got around to installing all the stuff into my car.

    Curious what your thoughts are.

Doesn't seem to be getting any readings. Here is a screen of the "tuner" section with the car on and running.

Black box is hooked up, wires are plugged in, cable from OBD1 port to the box is also hooked up.

Any ideas? Or did I forget something like an idiot?

    Verify this in config menu:
ECU Cable type = Enhanced OBD1 cable.

If it still doesn't work, make sure the OBD1 cable is tighten to the LCDBC main unit for a solid connection.

If still problem, open up OBD1 cable and verify solder didn't break apart. With the "older generation" OBD1 cables, if the cable was stressed it could break the solder off internally. The "newer" OBD1 cables now use a circuit board + 9 solder connection points that can accommodate wire stress better.

    Nice install by the way.

    I will check it all.

And thanks, I might have been one of your first few buyers for this thing and finally just got it put into the car. (Same with all my others parts lol)

Actually the "tuner section" is suppose to read all 0s if there is no trouble. Here's some more additional tips:
    1. If your car has a flashable ECU or Chrome ECU, or anything other than OBD1 ECU, the OBD1 cable will not work for you. The OBD2/MUT cable will be required.
    2. ECU type = OBD1 needs to be selected in config menu.
    3. ECU Clock = 100%, this assumes your ECU crystal is stock. If your crystal was swapped out for faster crystal in order to increase the rev limits, then this value needs to be adjusted.

Yeah, I was dumb. I had to change the cable type to enhanced

My lcdbc has this problem where when I put high load quickly on the engine, Ie. floor it, the lcdbc flips out. Random text/symbols just flashes by on the screen.

Why is that and what can be done to fix it??

Is this the LCDBC that had the display wires extended? Or am I thinking of another user? If so, check to see the wires are still connected securely.

Only two things I can think of:
    1. Poor wire connection somewhere, most likely LCD display wire, or power wire.
    2. Power is being interrupted briefly?

If it is a LCD display wire connection issue, I think if you switch screens on the rotary encoder, it will re-initialize the LCD screen, removing the random text/symbols.

    No, that wasn't me
    1. Okay I will check the wires. Don't know how that is related to it only happening when putting high load on the engine.
    2. No power is not interrupted. Screen just kind of flips out, like it gets corrupt and just shows random symbols.

I think I have to make a video to show what I mean.
