IDK, it could be phantom knock. I use to get a bunch of knock when I was going up hill and giving it gas but barely got any up on top end. Seems like when I put race gas in it, it kept doing it so I thought it was phantom. If you have a place that sells high octane gas or race gas you can put that in and see if it goes away. If it does then it’s not phantom.

    Soundly reasoned.

If I'm getting 'knock' (phantom or otherwise), that should indicate a functional sensor, no?

In any case, I'd have to ask around about fuel; that's mostly a seasonal offering around here, for the snomos and the like.

I do, however, have a friend who runs fuel from the Green Bay terminal 3 times a week...I'm sure we could work something out.

    BTW, Paul-

What is "a bunch of knock", numerically, for these things?

It sort of depends, but yeah what Garret said, 28 is a lot. I'd hit that once and a while going up big hills. I don't like seeing more than 8 though (at top end).

my AEM solenoid doesn't seem to work. As i understand from earlier in this thread it doesn't matter which wire from the lcdbc box goes which wire on the aem solenoid. On the AEM solenoid I have the left and middle connected and the right hole open.

I tried different settings on the lcdbc. Psi start from 0.4-0.8 bar Psi end 0.8-1.1 bar. dutycycle from 30-50. Played around within those values. Nothing seems to work. Max boost i could reach with solenoid connected to the wastegates was 0.6 bar.

With wastegates disconnected I reached 0.9 bar but didn't want to push it further.

I did the solenoid test and put my ear to it but couldn't hear anything. I'll test the solenoid directly to the battery tomorrow. Then I'll know if the solenoid itself works or if it's something with the lcdbc box.

Could the vacuum hoses be too restricting?? I only use 3.5mm for those.

If your solenoid is not responding, here are possible reasons:
    (a) Solenoid defect
    (b) Solenoid harness defect
    (c) LCDBC failed from solenoid harness short

If the solenoid harness is shorted, you will need to repair the harness and take necessary precautions from it happening again. A short will burn up a circuit wire, however it can be repaired. It involves cutting a piece of wire and soldering it to two points on the bottom of the LCDBC circuit board. I am pretty sure I took a picture of such repair, I'll go and see if I can find it.

I am currently experimenting a version that is contained in a box. The wires will exit from the rear. Stay tuned.

Or even the case that people could install their internals into.
