Exclamation MMCD WB Logging not correct!! AFR Conversion wrong!!

Don't know if this is the correct sub forum as there is not a tuning sub-forum on here.

This only applies to those that have their WB 0-5v analog output running into the EGRT input on their ECU.

I have been doing some logging runs and checking the results after every pull. When I do my pulls I try to pay attention to the road and then check the logger when I pull over. Well I noticed that my WBO2 ranges where way off considering the AEM WB only runs 10-20 range. On my pulls I was getting values on MMCD of 9's. So the last couple of pulls I made not of certain points and checked the AEM gauge to see what it said. Well after some investigation MMCD is not displaying the AFR range correctly. If you switch it over to voltage that seems to be right on. I compared the voltage values of that AEM has in their manual. AEM Performance Electronics - All Software & Firmware Downloads .

0.44 volts = 10.88 AFR not 9.2 like MMCD is showing

Looks like the conversion coded into MMCD is for a WB that goes 8-22 not 10-20 like the AEM WB does. I have searched all through MMCD and I see no way of changing this conversion. So for those of you that are using MMCD to log WB do not use the AFR conversion. Just use the voltage and the chart listed in AEM's manual. It will save you loads of headaches trying to tune.

I assume the AEM does not let you adjust the scale of the analog output as the innovates do?

    Not that I have found.

After further research it seems that Clint changed the code post 1.6 so that the range is now 8-22.

This will not work for the AEM WB as it's ranged to 10-20. I have downloaded some of the source versions and I am going to look into seeing if I can work getting the most recent version to work with the AEM WB. I would have figured that making this change they would have rolled in an option for the user to select which one to use.

The problem I am having now is that I can't seem to find any of the branches past 1.6n and I am currently running version 1.8. Plus MMCD is compiled C so I have to set up the palm\unix environment so I can compile the changes I make. I have never dealt with this environment before so it might take some time to figure everything out.

I believe this was done in MMCD to match up to the Innovate LC-1 WB...kind of a "by popular demand" thing...
