    Dude - I'm not saying these idiots are right in lining up. But you dont see that sort of reaction happening with pc's do you. Why? I can't be sure but I'm guessing they make more products? Anyways, I think you just hate the product so getting a fair assessment from you wont happen really. Take our car platform. It's a horrid one to choose, yet you would stand up for it if some ricer were to bash it.

    Apple=sold exclusively by Apple=line-ups.

    PC=beaucoup retailers=no lines.

    3Ss=no longer made=quasi-collectablity.
    Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

    Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

    I have no Apple products. I had one of the original iPods when they first came out...$300 for a 5gb isdain:.

    I don't hate Apple, though, that's not the reason I don't have any of their products...it's because I see no point in nearly all of their products. Just more blind consumerism for people to waste their money on having the cool new tech toy...until the next one comes out in 6 months.

    People that genuinely hate, and are outspoken about a product that causes no harm to them, are generally fanbois themselves, of a different product. Probably the truest words I've ever spoken.

    I have always been staunchly against Apple products. Not because I "hate" Apple, but because I don't like how they force you to use their proprietary software and other nonsense to use their products. I also don't think the amount they charge for their products is even remotely justified in most cases. When the ipod came out, I didn't buy one. I didn't like that the songs had to be in their format, and had to go through Itunes. I got a Sandisk Sansa... at the time, it did more than the ipod could, it could do video, and it was 4 meg, and about half the cost of the Ipod. Never had an apple comp either, PC works just fine for me, with a lot more support and applications designed for it.

    My last two phones I had were BB's from RIMM. However... they no longer make the best phone. I do have an iPhone now, and I will admit it's a great phone and very easy to use. When I first got it, I had serious doubts that it could beat my BB, but it did. So on the iPhone, I'll give credit where credit is due, it's an exceptional phone. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I had to install a couple special programs on my computer so I could put songs and pictures on my phone without having to use iTunes. That was annoying, but it was a one time thing, and I can use the phone and still circumvent Apple's software.

    Hmm.

    That's kinda like not liking Marriott for forcing you to submit to their nonsense wi-fi protocols, especially at the prices they charge.

    I hope you don't think me too harsh for pointing this out.

    I used to like apple computers in the Mac OS 8 days, but since the OSX stuff it's started to become a lot more pc-like and virus-friendly. I find it impossible to believe that hackers wouldn't specifically target apple computers these days. You have a product marketed to people on the basis that it can be operated by a mentally challenged chimp AND they are duped into believing that they "can't get viruses." It's laughable. Today's apple products are decent products, but they are made for and marketed to sheep and I doubt I will ever buy another. The company itself has also drastically changed in the last several years. Apple's true colors showed once they emerged from the underdog role.

    I did just get my 10 year old titanium powerbook up and running again after discovering a dead pram battery was preventing it from turning on. It works nicely for most things and holds a wireless signal much better than my $200 acer netbook. Of course it was $3500 or so when I bought it, so it better be a higher quality piece. I do like that computer though- except the case gets really, really hot when it is plugged into the wall.
