    StarQuest Power

The forerunner of the 3S, I own four of them. Here's one, it's a rust-free Conquest, 1988, from Texas originally. Runs perfect, everything works, it's a factory SHP car.

Here's my black 87 Mitsu Starion, it's pretty non-stock, new sway bars, suspension, lots of new engine parts, new exhaust, etc. Engine bay, anyway.

Hey there is a 88 conquest for sale with parts car for 4400 I saw. Interior is mint. Outside had some dings, faded paint, peeling clearcoat. They are both turbo models. What should I look for as far as problem areas besides obvious fluids, compression check, shaftplay in turbo ect. Thanks.

Great cars. I was actually in the market for one of these before I bought my 3k.

Well, figure on replacing the turbo and you'll be either pleasantly surprised or ready.
Check the head, make sure it does not get hot, ask them if it's the factory jet valve head, if it is, it'll have to go, they get hot and crack and warp. You can get new Clearwater heads from a place in Florida.

Check front frame rail, passenger side, for rust holes. Check frame rails under the car, check behind rear wheels for rust.

Check steering, you might have to replace the steering coupler, they are available, couple hundred dollars.

They're pretty stout cars except for a few areas.
