    Airbrush - anybody got 'em?

I just got reinterested into airbrush art after a long long time away from it. My first expereince with airbrushing was with a shirt I had done at Myrtle Beach back in 1983. I spent a lot of time on that vacation watching a few artists and noticing how they did things. Before leaving, I asked the one guy what kind of paint? Where to get it? and what kind of airbrush did he have?
So, I went and bought a Paasche VL-3, some Aqua-flow textile paint from an art supply store in Akron, OH, picked up a few books, several old t-shirts and started to practice. I made some money at it while being laid off from work in the 80's and then lost interest in it and the stuff sat in the box since the early 90's. The spark that ignited this go-a-round was the desire to get some custom paint done on the cars and not wanting to pay the high price for it. I saw Richard Markham at our Autorama custom car show last month and he has instructional videos out along with a 40' trailer that is a mobile airbrush classroom that he takes all over the place. I signed up and took his weekend course at an area paint supplier and now it is just making time to practice and get into the groove again.

Reaper - started out as a line drawing. Our task was to shade it in.

^^^^^^ Thanks. I need to really practice on my lettering, that was always my weak point. Shading and understanding the color wheel was never a problem, it seemed to just flow for me. Like trying to play a musical instrument, airbrushing is only as good as the time you have into it.
