    3S Safety Rating

Looks like you're golden if you're driving but only 3 stars for passengers.

Weird that you are limited to the 1993 model year. I bet the 94 and up models also got 5 stars, as they had passenger airbags then and 93 did not.

I have heard that they are quite proficient at injuring/killing people in the other vehicle though. Not hard to believe when you consider how "dense" these cars are. Of course, cars are becoming ridiculously safe, so that will become less and less common.

I've seen enough people walk away from crashes in these cars that they should have died in.

One of our former employees barrel rolled his vr4 nose over tail, OVER an Expedition at 120mph. Woman thought he was DEAD and started screaming and pulling him from the car. The husband just gave him a high-5 He crawled out and was pissed he lost his cigarettes. He was back into work 2 days later.... only because he couldn't get a ride to work the day after the accident. With the number of cars we've parted out... we have seen some SCARY wrecks... most where the passengers walked away unscathed, or just bumped up. It's the reason my parents let me buy my first VR4... because it was such a big, heavy, solid car.
Circa 2005... Oh my, how far I've come

We bought a 97 vr4 in auction that had 2 white sheets in it. We are pretty sure the driver died, and possibly the passenger. People die in all cars, the 3s is no exception. However, your chances of survival are a lot better than an 80s civic.
