11.4 psi or greater at curb idle speed with oil temp 167-194F using proper oil weight.

Your oil weight, RPM, coolant temp (oil temp) all play a role in oil pressure. What PSI are you getting, how are you testing it, and what are the other parameters?

low oil pressure on the stock gauge, at idle, is normal, as long as it's not buried at the bottom.

General rule of thumb, if it's about 2-3 ticks above the bottom big tick (towards the middle of the gauge), at cruising ~2-3k rpm's when warm, you are fine.

    What is "low"?
Is this when it is warmed up?
Does it go up as rpms go up? What does it go up to versus RPM?

I don't trust the factory gauge mine is usually at 1/4 of the way and sometimes it goes 1/2 but never higher.

Don't trust an old sender with the old loose dirty slip on connector. Test with an oil pressure tester. But it sounds like it is where it should be.
