what gap are you guys with ignition boosters running?

I have an MSD DIS-4, MSD coils, MSD wires, NGK R5671A-9 plugs, and 13T's that I plan on running in the neighborhood of 20lbs of boost with, what gap do you guys run/think I should run. .40 sounded pretty good to me, but I'm all ears for your guy's thoughts.

i'm also interested in hearing an answer on this, altho the correct answer is really "However big you can get the gap"

because the bigger the gap, the more mixture is exposed to the intial spark, which equals a more efficient burn which leads to better gas milage and power.

I know the biggest you can is best, but I'm interested in a baseline so I'm not pulling the plugs 20 times to find the right gap.

It's really just going to depend on how much air you're moving, and your exact car. On my Stealth I usually ran ~.28, and that's with MSD coils and the DIS-4. Just where my engine was happiest.

I was running .035 with open exhaust, K&N and a FMIC, and never had blowout issues, but the plugs were stock heat range, these are two colder, so I might have problems on cold start, and the car is a whole new monster now, so I'll keep it there, and see what happens. I'll post back up what I end up using after I get it to the dyno then, thanks guys..

    I don't think I'd start at .40, I think I'd try .32 or .34 first.

Type of fuel will also play a part in it. With ethy it's a compromise if you want it to fire on the first key turn everytime. What type of fuel? I'm running .030 with an HKS DLI.

HKS Twin Power and 25 running 36psi

I highly recommend the HKS and would recommend against using the MSD. It will fail.
