make sure to find a non turbo 1.8l throttle cable since u removed yours fits perfect , the 1.8 dd not come with cruise. also while your at it send me your rack and i can convert it to a manual rack get rid of that ps pump and line

I already have a brand new non-cruise cable. I bought it preemtively from Advance Auto when I had a $50 off a $100 order coupon knowing I was going to do it eventually.

As for the manual rack, I'm not sure I'm ready for that. Time will tell.

I'll let you know about the 16Gs if mine kaputs prematurely.

I've heard either detonation or casting imperfections in the pistons. After further inspection, I believe this engine is fairly new. I still need to drop the pan and look inside, but I don't think I'll find anything exotic in there.

Those r some of the cleanest factory 1g pistons I have ever seen imo.... Cant say about that head gasket tho. That thing looks gooey. Cheapo composite looks like.
