Naw,not just drag racing. Although that's what they are known for a lot. Brakeman makes all different application brakes. Now that things have been setup for the 3S any of their products can be adapted. I think Austin mentioned a few people running them on the street. There's no technical reason you couldn't. More info about all of that in the thread I posted (rather than repeat here and clog up your build thread)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know another option available out there for saving a lot of weight on brakes as well as serious performance that also fits smaller wheel size.

I talked with Emery and he said their brake kit (non-scalloped) is alright for DD.

Also the weight savings I would say are about the same vs brakemaster.

I would atleast talk to them about it to get an idea.

It's a shame that they'd have to be non scalloped as they look sexy as hell. Right now, the name of the game is to get everything running.

As for smaller wheels, I have just paid out for 2 sets of Volks, a set of MT ET Streets and a set of Toyo R888. That lot stands me at nearly $11000 and I haven't used them yet. The MT's aren't even mounted yet, so I don't think I'll be looking for new smaller wheels just yet LOL.

    A few updates.

The car now has its roll cage fully installed and painted. Although I don't have pictures of it painted, it has been done in the same colour blue as was used for the water meth tank and very similar to the blue powder coat used for some of the engine ancillaries. The detachable chute mount is done, the window net installed and flywheel scatter shield has be fitted and a prop shaft loop installed.

    Chute mount internal support brace

External cross brace for chute mount (located behind rear bumper)

    Removable mounting collar

    Flywheel scatter shield fitted.

The car is now back at Eurospec, the engine will finish being assembled this week. Due to new rear rocker covers not being available from Mitsubishi any more, we are going to clean up my old ones and do them in black crinkle finish.

The dash can now be refitted, as can the battery box, water meth tank. The door cards need to be notched around where the roll cage door bar sits while options for carbon panels are considered.

The dog box has arrived so installation can now go ahead.

What the outside? None taken as it was wrapped up on a pallet. The gear set is pictured earlier in this thread. I'll try to get some shots this week that show the billet end case, but that is pretty much the only difference you can see from the outside.
