i'd say it has more to do with treadwidth than offset. the stance on these cars is acceptably wide to begin with.

We don't have the luxury of wheel showrooms anywhere near me and where my car was already off the road there was zero chance of test fitting. Also Volks need to be imported so you need to order your ET and I really didn't want any calliper, strut or wheel well fouling. Effectively, yours are 1.5" wider than stock but only moved out by 4mm. Not only that but the 315 rubber will be wider than the rim too.

yeah that's cool and you never know how much a tyre will stick out over the rim, you pretty much have to buy the combo and see what happens, that's why I'm asking for photo's to see what you can get away with when using the R888's

Yikes! For $2000 I'd be over half way to an entire widebody kit from Cianci!

Besides, they are nowhere near wide enough

how much Cianci charges you fro wide body? if i remember the front fender and rear quarter panel wasn't that much cheaper. you are looking at around 1500-1600 i think. you should consider aerodynamic also if you plan to drag your car. Cianci complete wide body is not that aero dynamic since it's so wide. not sure about the front, but the rear ones are very wide. this is 285 tires with fat ass spacer/offset. i think yours stick out less that that. you should be able to flair the fenders for much cheaper.

The PRM offerings flair the front by 30mm and rears by 60mm. Also, they were using 285/30/18 tyres not 315/30/18's.

The front definitely won't be enough, the rears might but wouldn't know without measuring.

I take the point about larger surface area about drag b ut this is primarily a road car.

not much you can do about it now...let us know how it goes though!

I find even with this offset the car gets pulled a fair bit more around by the imperfections in the road

what wheels are those? i didnt think 10" wide wheels with that offset would clear,im assuming there very close to the struts.

Just XXR 522's, 19x10+42

they fit really well actually. keep in mind I'm on coilovers with custom top plates.



Working towards 18x11+34 in the next year, will stick out in total around 1" so flares will be the go.

Nice info, how do they fare with rubbing on the inner arch at full lock?
