weird oil pressure, comes and goes, got me worried!

all ive done is delete the rear krank vent and added an open air filter to my catch can. oil pressure was fine the other day and now it drops and a quick rev wont make the needle move. will an open air filter on my catch can thro off the stock oil pressure gauge? no red lights or codes.

i cleaned/checked the connections and even took off my valve covers looking for a loose cam cap. please help?

noticed it yesterday and it was at the bottom tick while driving, motor runs and sounds great so im really stumped?

I had a bad oil filter to something like that to me.
Most of the time it was fine but every now and then the pressure would drop. The weird part is that the pressure would go UP if I let off the gas. Changed the filter and everything was fine.
FWIW it was a Purolator filter.

i read your thread on the matter.

for anyone that cares after tearing the valve covers off and making sure my cams were torqued right(they were) and cleaning the connection under the car at the sender i still had the prob. so now that i had to use up a set of plenum gaskets(i have to use 2), im sure it was a loose connection were i tucked my wires out of sight. i must have manipulated them enough when re-arranging my catch can that the connection wasnt happy, it is now.

in case you didn't already know..
there are a few different ways you can route that harness (ps, oil pressure, knock sensor).
it just goes from the bottom drivers side at the 3 sensors to the 3 connector bracket by the throttle body.
it's completely removable, so you can put it back in so that it's not in the way of the catch can or anything else.
also a good time to clean up, reloom, tape or whatever
i have had problems with the oil pressure sensor connector before
they get dirty/loose pretty easily
