All of our 15g/16t cars are making virtually the same power at the same boost levels. Stock 1st gens make 240 awhp and 2nd gens make 250. So, 160 hp gain for Toni is really nice. Especially at that boost level. It's a nice safe tune. I know what Toni was looking for in his car. Some people don't mind running on the edge.

Thanks Chris. We have 3 more 16t cars here we need to finish up and get on the dyno.

The knock is just because of pump gas and no timing control. You have to realize how far the timing gets advanced when running 550's.

I'm hoping Toni takes my advise and gets that HKS DLI. Those things are great for this kind of car (with a rich tune).

Nice numbers Hans. You guys are doing good work.

Very good points. It would be nice to have everyone have numbers that can be compared directly, I guess that is the idea with sae correction but there is error in that as well. I plan to go back to the same dyno for future upgrades to see what I can make over this 15g baseline.

Yup I have not been able to enjoy my car (pretty much since I got it) and I want safe reliable power. I'm very happy here!

I'm definitely considering it. We measured those coils when they were hot too. Manual says to measure them at 70F so I'll check them out when they are cooler. Stock replacements are only a little over 100. Have you measured brand new coils before? Curious if they come in the low range of the spec or if they are all over the place in the range given(11-15ohms).

I'd be curious to see what I put down after a new rear turbo, DLI, and perhaps new coils. My guess would be much closer to that 16t spyder.

New stock coils are about 12k ohms. Your's were at 14k ohms (IIRC). I'd measure them cold to see what they read. We had another car recently with one coil at 14k ohms and he had all kinds of ignition problems. Your's was good since we could get it to boost at 15 psi, his wouldn't go over 12 psi without it breaking up like crazy. I'll find out later this week if the "new" coil fixed his problems.

Yea, 400 at 15 psi is an extremely quick and reliable car. I'm sure 17 psi would have put us at the 430 awhp range. I believe we made 357 awhp at only 12.5 psi on Toni's car.

gotta love the basic but proven setups. 15G's and ~60% more power to the wheels than stock. thats gotta be fun to drive.
    the basic go fast bits...
forged short block, Billet DR1000's, 680cc injectors, meth inj, FMIC, MAFT, Apexi Neo, hotwired 255lph fuel pump.

Well the coils at 65F were 12.5 I heated one up to 100 and let it cool down to 75 or so and was getting 13.4. If 12 flat is what you were getting at 70deg I'd say they would help me some. I at least might be able to increase the plug gap with them.
