I had to work on the Mud Turtle today (Mazda protege DD). The rear drums were grinding. When I took off the passenger rear wheel, the tire was ballooned so now I need new tires. I found tires and rims on CL. 50% tread and pretty nice looking rims instead of steel wheels and hubcaps. 175 OBO, I might have to do that.

considering the price of wheels alone, I'd go with it. Dubz are pretty cheap these days, that would make you tits with the mazda community lol

I made a T-shirt art thread. I don't know if we have any photshopers on the forum. (other than adjusting car pictures for RTOM lol) I thought it would be cool to see what other members come up with.

I gave JohhnyTurbo's car a quick facelift in exchange for the right to use the picture on my T-shirt for the contest.

I started cleaning out the other half of the shop my parents share with me. Finally have a decent place to tear into my old engine. I'm hoping there are some pistons left lol. While moving the old engine around, I realized why I don't get much of a kick out of 3S major services. My uncle is thinking about starting a detail shop with small side repair services Hope it works out, he wants me to help get it going. Maybe we will make some moeny. Who knows?

I asked granny about pulling my starter (the user, not my actual late grandmother) and she suggested pulling from underneath. I was a bit saddened by this, so I looked for alternate methods. After sifting through 100 DSM threads with "take a grammar class, and buy a chelton manual" as the only "helpful" response, I found this wonderful how-to, with pics! If you ever need/want to pull a DSM starter for the first time without diving under the car, (say the garage is full, and it snowed) here's the way. Starter Swap / Install - DSM Forums
