My rear turbo intake is like that, but I just have a filter on the front turbo because I don't have a way to fab up a pipe for the front. I'll be taking care of that soon and it'll probably be somewhat like Chris' setup. It just depends where it'll all fit.![]()
95 RT/TT Billet TD04s E70, DW1000cc injectors, ARC-2 with 92mm maf, 3SX fuel rail loop, hotwired Walbro 416/485, 3" FMIC, single small Krank vent, DR 3.5" downpipe and cat-back, DNP 02 housings, Hallman Pro MBC, BlackStealth LCDBC, AEM wideband, AEM oil pressure, Apexi S1 coilovers with SCE EVO 8/9 adapters, 3SX adjustable control arms, Spec 3+ clutch, Maximal solids/3SX poly motor mounts, Setrab custom SMOC, stock motor 127k miles, stock drivetrain.

FYI some very successful members have actually run the maf in blow through configuration, but BEFORE the BOV. I.E. you could run it near the fuse box area.
Parting 6 speed
Pampena 3.5 Stroker, GTX 2867 Gen IIs, AEM Series2, oohnoo SMIC, DN Hardpipes, FIC 1650s, Walbro 525, aermotive fpr, Dejon intake pipes, Tial Q, Koyo Rad, Samco Hoses, Stoptech 332mm fronts, HKS GT4 Coilovers, Spec 4+ LW, JDM 6 Speed, Billet shift forks, Pampena brace
I'm going to vent the BOV for one. Also, the BOV is just another spot for a potential leak. I know, a small one if it ever leaked, but I want it as close to the TB as possible, so there's no chance of one occuring.
Not to mention, I already fabbed up my GM MAF DNP Ypipe![]()
Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.
if your going to run blow through you might as well go GM and put the bov in front of the maf so that you have the option to vent it or re-circulate it. i dont get why someone would go through all the work of relocating the stock maf, making some custom ic pipes that will fit the stock maf (its oval not round iirc) and then put the bov behind it. I’m not saying it cant be done, because it obviously has been done and apparently worked fine. just seams like a lot of work for essentially a stock setup…
you made your own Y-Pipe?!?!?!? well what are you waiting for post up some pics!!!! lol
