Nearly every recent troubleshooting thread I see on 3SI is a complete train-wreck of incompetence. I tried to go back and contribute, but the draconian BS pisses me off too much.

Usually when people say "search" it is because the question has been asked a bazillion times. Yes we all know the search function sucks on the forums, but google works great. Seriously, in one month I counted at least 10 different thread on CEL light on a 94-95 (hybrid). A simple 30 second search would have answered the questions.

That is what wrong with people today... to lazy to go and look for the answers, instead they just want it handed to them.

I'm not saying Sin'sVR4's question had a searchable answer... I'm just talking in general.

Or maybe they want their questions answered by people they trust and don't want to piss withsearching a million sites to find nothing or something only similar to the main problem. Let's not start any arguments and let's help out our fellow 3s owners and not be "asshats"

When people say "do a search" to me they should just say " I don't know, ask someone with knowledge about our cars, I just act like I know what I'm talking about"

The only reason people don't tell people to search over here is because there isn't 10+ years of database to search through.

Usually when I tell people to search, I will tell them exactly what terms to search. If they can't find the thread or the answer, then they probably shouldn't be working on their car anyway.

When people ask a question that has been answered a bazillion times that just tells me he or she is LAZY!
