Car starts, then dies immediately on AEM EMS...VIDEO WATCH!!

It started doing this yesterday morning. Checked all fuel related connections and they are good to go. Could my fuel pump be going bad? Fuel pressure drops from 57-17 psi when in the on position. Using my AEM logger, but not sure exactly what to look for...

Did you rule out the aem? Does the same thing happen if you put the stock ecu back in?

He's speed density on alternative fuel and 780cc injectors. It's not like, "Gee I'll just put the stock ECU back and see if it works."

OK, that dies QUICK. Does adding more fuel help?

You seem really hung up on the pump, which I don't quite understand. Who cares what your fuel pressure drops to when the pump quits - is it OK while the pump is running? If you want, hook that thing to a battery and leave it running constantly. If 57psi is your base pressure, it shouldn't drop below high 40s when starting.

Im betting on the fuel pump. You can alredy tell the check valve is bad. Look how quicly the fuel pressue falls off. Shouldnt fall 40 psi off of refence pressure.

why don't you get someone else to crank the car up and you can watch the fuel pressure?

my supra pump and aem fpr drops pressure really quick after starting to. It didn't use to do that until I drove back from indy last year.

I was on a walbro pump and the aem fpr and before the trip it would hold pressure for a few hours. After the trip in seconds it dropped a lot, which caused the car to crank a bit longer to start. A supra pump didn't fix the problem.

I suspect the aem fpr, I may try a rebuild kit to see if it is bleeding pressure off internally.

It has not caused any problems though, besides it takes an extra sec to start.

Is the main power relay clicking off when it shuts off?

    Sometimes they go bad.
