Dinosaur wow haha nice
Pedal was to the floor but I could only reach like 5800-6200 rpm starting at 2k rpm in 3rd since I was running out of road. It was weird to get knock mid range and then it go away like that. im interested to see how much I might get going higher rpms through 2nd and 3rd. I just need a slightly larger stretch of road and of course no cops to be around, this town has a local and state barracks so its hard to not bump into one. It honestly felt the same when I went from -35 to -30 the arm1 cycled the same too staying mostly green never hitting red (lean) or purple (rich). What I should do tomorrow is set it back to -35 and see what changes doing the same run. and ill keep changing it in the knock zone until I get none mid range.
OK so since I have switched it to -30 as forest suggested the most knock i have gotten was 2 and it was during cruise at 2600 rpm for some reason at two different random points in time. any of the times I went WOT in 1st and 2nd just past 6k rpm I got none. I also paid attention to my boost gauge and it was reading 13.5 psi so thats what I have been running. I will try turning it up little by little to see how far i can get before I start to get knock again.
You'll also need to do some downshifting, like from 5th to 3rd and floor it and see what happens. That is when knock can happen frequently and people don't tune for that contingency. So before you start taking fuel away, see what happens in that scenario as well, otherwise you risk blowing your engine in an impromptu street race.
OK I will do some of that and see what I get when it stops snowing and roads clear up. I hope I never do a race where going into 5th in high revs and over 65mph happens haha, It will grind so bad if I do that. I can only use 5th if I shift in so very very slowly while holding in the clutch, otherwise it grinds probably because of a bad syncro.
